Original stapled photo-illustrated wrappers (vols. 5-8), or folded broadside as issued (broadsides with short tears at folds, wrappers with occasional light spotting and soiling, stain on front cover of vol. 6). Hosoe's signature in gold paint in issues 1-4.

A COMPLETE SET OF THIS RARE AND INFLUENTIAL PUBLICATION, THE FIRST FOUR ISSUES SIGNED BY CO-FOUNDER EIKOH HOSOE. Issues 2 and 4 are also signed by Daido Moriyama. 'Probably the most important serial publication in the history of Japanese photography' (De Beaupré). Workshop was founded by Moriyama, Araki, Hosoe, Fukase, Tomatsu and Yokosuka, and includes contributions from all the guiding lights of contemporary Japanese photography: Ken Domon, Yasuhiro Ishimoto, Kikuji Kawada, Jun Morinaga, Ikko Narahara, and many others.
