Quarto (258 x 210mm). 60 black and white photographs, many double page, some folding. Printed leaflet laid-in. Original white glossy boards, spine and front cover titled in black, original photo-illustrated endpapers, original photo-illustrated dust-jacket, original wraparound band (dust-jacket lightly tanned, band with a few tears and spotting). Provenance: Peter Beard (presentation inscription and drawing to an unidentified recipient).

FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED WITH A DRAWING of an elephant, mountain and tree: 'with all best wishes and warmest memories of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Mt Fuji'. Based on The End of the Game and published to coincide with the exhibition of Beard's work at the Seibu Museum, Tokyo. Complete with the printed wraparound band, and the printed leaflet. Rare.
