Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated April 13, 2005, instruction booklet and leather envelope.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 3800 from 1981 until 2006 when it was replaced by the reference 5800/1A. For a similar example see Huber & Banbery, Patek Philippe Wristwatches, Volume 2, Second Edition, pp. 232 & 233.

A similar model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by O. Patrizzi, Volume 2, p. 254, pl. 1073.
