AN ANTIQUE DIAMOND, SAPPHIRE AND PEARL NECKLACE
The front designed as a graduated series of old mine-cut diamond plaques, each centering upon a bezel-set cushion-cut sapphire, suspending a pearl drop with a rose-cut diamond cap, spaced by graduated bezel-set pear-shaped diamonds, to the undulating old mine-cut diamond neckchain, with pearl accents, mounted in silver-topped gold, mid 19th century, 15¼ ins.

With report CS 39163 dated 28 September 2007 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the origin of these sapphires would be classified as Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Two sapphires (right of center) were not tested for heat treatment or clarity enhancement. Remaining three sapphires: No gemological evidence of heat enhancement present. Clarity enhancement: None
