Lot Essay

A Contemporary Surrealist working in mediums ranging from painting and drawing to embroidery and multi-elemental installations. That's What I Call Enthusiasm is a classic example of David's figurative abstration by means of traditional painterly elements fused with his iconically kitsch needlework design.

Enrico David has been shortlisted for the 2009 Turner Prize Award.
