Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Montres Omega, the movement and the case of the present watch were not born together and have therefore been assembled to a later date. The movement was furthermore modified to feature both sweep centre and subsidiary seconds functions, hence resembling Omega's famous "Synchrobeat" model (for a description and illustration of the stainless steel prototype see Omega - A Journey Through Time by Marco Richon, p. 193, pl. 85).
