Cal. 10''' nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, black Arabic numerals, gold Louis XV hands, outer gilt five minute divisions, translucent light blue enamel on guilloché background decorated circular case, bezel enhanced with white enamel, hinged back with translucent light blue enamel on guilloché background and painted white enamel floral and foliage decoration, centred by a finely detailed white gold mounted filigrée rose-cut diamond-set floral decoration, swivel bow, together with a similarly decorated 18K white gold, translucent light blue and white enamel link chain, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with enamel dial, dauphine hour markers and red numerals in 1897 and its subsequent sale on 24 August 1911. The Extract further states that the case back is ornamented with grey-blue enamel on a guilloched background and "Limoges"-style painting and has an applied central ornament in platinum with a rose-cut diamond.
