A BALTIC PARCEL-GILT SILVER TANKARD
MARK OF JURGEN LINDEN, RIGA, LATE 17TH CENTURY, THE CHASING RUSSIAN MID-18TH CENTURY
Cylindrical and on three pomegranate feet, the sides later chased with gilt-heightened buildings among foliage scrolls and rocaille, on a matted silver ground, the hinged cover similarly decorated and with a broad gilt border engraved with foliage and flowers, with pomegranate thumbpiece, marked underneath with maker's mark only, the base further engraved with an inventory number and with Cyrillic scratchweight
