A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE COFFEE-CUP AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, PRESSNUMMER 6. TO CUP AND 2 TO SAUCER, BOTH WITH GILDER'S 9. MARKS TO FOOTRIMS
Painted with Orientals at various pursuits in fenced gardens with flowering plants, some admiring scrolls, others with hoops, above a double iron-red line support, the saucer with a standing figure with a lantern within a double concentric iron-red line cartouche, with Gitterwerk borders (some minute wear to saucer)
