A RUBY AND DIAMOND RING

Details
A RUBY AND DIAMOND RING
Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 5.01 carats, to the cushion-shaped diamond shoulders weighing 1.14 and 1.08 carats, mounted in 18k white and yellow gold, ring size 5½

Accompanied by report no. 0903585 dated 12 March 2008 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 5.01 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin with no indications of heating; accompanied by a note stating that during the last couple of years, the supply of gem-quality rubies decreased even further. Burma (Myanmar) experienced a significant drop in its ruby production. Other producing countries such as Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, also could not satisfy the demand for top-quality rubies. As a result, large, natural, untreated rubies of almost any geographic origin have become even more difficult to find on the market today

Report no. GRS2009-031715 dated 18 March 2009 from the Gem Research Swiss Lab stating that the 5.01 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, vivid red colour (GRS type "pigeon's blood"), with no indication of thermal treatment; with special comment stating rare combination of size, good brilliancy and spared of thermal enhancement

Report no. 7102235312 dated from 9 April 2009 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 5.01 carat ruby is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; with a letter stating that the combination of the Burma (Myanmar) origin, large size, saturated red colour, high degree of transparency and fine proportions, make this ruby rare

Accompanied by two reports nos. 5101971905 and 2105971967 dated 31 July 2009 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the 1.14 and 1.08 carat diamonds are G colour, VS2 clarity, both with excellent polish
