Lot Essay

Fernand Léger worked with ceramics between 1951 and 1955 at Biot together with Roland Brice, one of his students before the war. Brice himself started to work with ceramics already in 1949. Léger would create the designs, paintings, colors and forms and they were then executed by Brice and his son.
