Oblong, the cover set with an oval enamel plaque en cameo rose over a spiral sunburst ground, depicting Venus at her toilette with cupid at her feet, the cover, sides and base with panels of translucent oyster enamel over striped wavy ground within opaque white bands, the cover and base with seed-pearl borders, with a ruby push-piece, the mirrored interior fitted in gold with hinged compact between two spring-hinged lipstick-holders, marked in base, compact and holders
