Fritz Schwimbeck (1889-1972) was a Munich artist best known for his atmospheric illustrations for books including editions of Strindberg, Shakespeare, Meyrink, Ewers, De Nora, Kleist, Lenau and Müller. He also illustrated a number of Malerbücher or livres d'artiste in the inter-war period. Examples of his work can be found in the Lindenau-Museum, Altenburg.
