Stamped with the signature and with the foundry mark 'Degas CIRE PERDUE A.A.HEBRARD' (on the base); numbered '5/G' (on the back of the base)
bronze with brown patina
Height: 22 3/8 in. (57 cm.)
Conceived circa 1882-1885; this bronze version cast between 1919 and 1937 or later in an edition of 20 casts numbered A-T, plus two casts reserved for the Degas heirs and the founder Hébrard, marked HER nad HER.D respectively, and two further casts, marked AP and one unnumbered
