Lot Essay

A photographic series of moths continuously regrouping in the corner of a white-washed room. Untitled (Corner) presents the viewer with a staccato of black amorphous shapes which upon first glance, appear almost to be painterly brushmarks applied to a white surface. Upon further inspection you begin to see the clustered bodies of the moths clinging to the surface of the walls, constantly shifting in their uncamouflaged and overtly human environment exposing the underlying beauty and fragility in swarm patterns.
