Lot Essay

B. Prabha entered the art world at a time when few Indian women were professionally involved. The lives of rural women were a perennial theme of Prabha's work wherein she explored an array of related subjects alluding to society, identity and gender by successfully capturing delicate features, supple slender bodies and elongated forms with her signature style of bold brush strokes and subtle colors.
