the complete set of twelve etchings with engraving and aquatint, hors-texte, title page and justification, on Imperial Japon, copy 25 of 100, the first edition (with the copy number blindstamped in the lower left margin of each print), each with full margins, uneven pale staining in places, surface soiling and soft handling creases in places (primarily at the sheet edges), (S. 231, 237-41) with small areas of moisture staining at the lower left sheet corner, otherwise each in good condition, original cream card mats with printed titles, green linen-covered portfolio with marbled boards and gilt title on the cover (strong wear, cracking and losses). 25½ x 19½ in. (648 x 495 mm.)
