Six Silver-Gilt and Niello Beakers
Various makers, Moscow, mid-19th century
Each tapering cylindrical, with circular foot and everted rim, with two reserves depicting either Palace Square, the statue of the Bronze Horseman by Falconet, the monument to Minin and Pozharskii, an officer on horseback, or a cityscape, within stylized scrolling foliage on a stippled ground, one beaker engraved below the rim with the crowned Cyrillic initials 'OI', the interiors gilt, all marked under bases and all but one marked on rims
