COMPARATIVE LITERATURE:
V. Avery, Renaissance and Baroque Bronzes from the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, London, 2002, no. 2.

The pose of this rough, but charming, small bronze almost exactly mirrors that of the Mercury Taking Flight attributed to Rustici originally in the Boscawen Collection and now in the Fitzwilliam, Cambridge (Avery, loc. cit.).
