With fluted sides, each with an enamelled gold foil inclusion depicting the conjoined arms of the Naryshkin and Czetwertynski families, comprising: a champagne flute, two wine glasses and a two liqueur glasses

Lot Essay

This service may have belonged to Dmitry Lvovich Naryshkin (1764-1838) and his wife Maria, née Czetwertynska (1779-1854), a mistress of Alexander I. A decanter from this service was sold Christie's New York, A Marriage of Collections: Property of Dr. and Mrs. Tarshis, 21 April 2010, lot 9.
