A SMALL RUSSIAN SILVER AND ENAMEL ICON
MARK OF D.Ch (CYRILLIC), ST.PETERSBURG, 1896/1908
Oval with ring attachment, containing an enamel plaque of St.Catherine, the name of the saint inscribed on the lower part of frame, reverse engraved with the Orthodox cross and a Cyrillic inscription translating as Order of St.Catherine College, God be with us, 1901, Filadelf Genadievitch Bazhanov, a further Cyrillic inscription around the rim reading Tatiana Turgan-Baranovskaya
