Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe presentation box and Certificate of Origin.

Purchased by the present owner in 2005, this watch has never been offered in public before.

Reference 5970 was introduced to the market at the Basel Fair in April 2005 and replaced the celebrated reference 3970. The model immediately enjoyed enormous popularity amongst collectors and was available in white gold or pink gold only until 2007 when the production of these two versions ceased. Reference 5970 in yellow gold was produced for just one year, in 2008. The model was then finally released in platinum and later discontinued, hence ceasing production of the reference.
