Marked K. Fabergé, with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1908-1917, scratched inventory number 23034
Oval, of traditional form, the body partly decorated with polychrome frieze of stylised foliage and lozenges on cream ground, the inside with central medallion in shades of brown with a crowned Imperial double-headed eagle on light blue ground, surrounded by stylised geometric motifs, foliage and scrolls in shades of purple, green, blue, pink and yellow on cream ground, extending over the handle, the prow with an artichoke finial, in the original silk-lined wood case stamped in Russian 'Fabergé Moscow St Petersburg Odessa' beneath the Imperial warrant, marked under base
