Of rounded rectangular outshape, the spreading hinged lid surmounted by two reclining nymphs, the sides inset with porcelain plaques of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and cloudbourne putti between columns decorated with crowned 'LL', above a guilloche and leaf-cast surround, on toupie feet, the interior lined in padded blue velvet
