Provenance
This painting is part of a collection of works acquired directly from the artist in 1956-57 and 1961 during her stays in India and Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) when Ms. Robins developed a friendship with the artist. A curator at the Museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Missouri, she was an avid collector of Indian folk art and co-authored the Everyday Art of India published in 1968, in addition to many articles on Indian art.
