Four panels portray the former Shah of Iran and his three wives: Fawzia, Soraya Efandiary-Bakhtiari and lastly Farah Diba. The figures are placed at the center of the composition against intricate details of Iranian motifs. Afsoon has achieved global recognition for the collages she fabricates . This work's historical significance responds to a bygone era revisited in a modern context possibly raising questions of political stability, time, and power. Afsoon has been acquired in international collections including the British Museum.
