Rectangular with rounded corners, the cover centering an en plein enamelled panel depicting a 17th century street scene, surmounted by two repoussé and chased stylized peacocks set with simulated turquoises, the reverse engraved with facsimile signatures, with hinged cover and simulated cabochon ruby push-piece, marked inside cover and base
