A gilt-metal mounted, parcel-gilt, tortoiseshell, ebony and ebonised, japanned and ivory-banded cabinet, on a later stand, of eight drawers and a cupboard enclosed by a pair of doors and a drawer and a slide in the base, inset with paintings on copper, the doors with large paintings of the Visitation, the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Adoration; the drawer fronts with a series of scenes from the Life of the Virgin, the exterior with moulded borders of simulated tortoiseshell decorated with gilt flowersprays in the Chinese manner
