Cal. 17''', nickel-finished lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva seal, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, silvered matte dial, applied gold stylized cubic numerals, subsidiary seconds, plain circular case, bezel, rim and bow with engraved Art Deco style foliate decoration and blue champlevé enamel inserts, snap on back centred by applied white gold initials W.E.S., case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch with silvered dial, raised gold hour markers and subsidiary seconds in 1925 and its subsequent sale on 19 August 1926. Furthermore delivered with a Patek Philippe brown leather presentation box.
