Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and raised gold hour markers in 1937 and its subsequent sale on 31 May 1938.

Launched in 1937, year of manufacture of this watch, reference 645 was in production during a very short period of time.

The present watch is believed to be the only second example of this reference to appear in public, the rarity enhanced by the retailer's signature Walser Wald.
