Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with raised gold hour markers in 1949 and its subsequent sale on 5 October 1950.

Reference 725 and the nearly identical reference 725/2 were in production from 1940 until around 1964. Until to date, less than 10 examples of reference 725 in yellow gold are known to have survived.
