Gilt-finished highly engraved jewelled lever movement, pierced and engraved gilt rotor depicting Cartier's double "C" logo, white dial, Roman numerals, luminous hands, sweep centre seconds, outer railway minute divisions, window for moon phases, three subsidiary dials for day, month and leap year indicator, date, circular case, large stepped and inclined bezel, screwed bar lugs, scalloped back secured by eight screws, cabochon sapphire-set protective crown cap, two sapphire-set date change buttons in the band, 18K gold Cartier buckle, case, dial and movement signed

The present watch is believed to be a unique prototype of Cartier's famed Pasha model. Presumably purchased by the first owner directly from Gérald Genta, the designer of the celebrated model, it never went into production and consequently does not appear in the firm's records.
