With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1952 and its subsequent sale on 31 October 1952.

Manufacture of reference 1589 was launched in 1944, the first series with a calibre 12'''120 movement, such as the present watch, the second series with calibre 12'''400.

The watch offered here for sale is believed to be one of only two examples of a reference 1589 in yellow gold with Breguet numerals to appear in public to date.
