Details
A STUNNING RUBY NECKLACE
Suspending an oval-shaped ruby weighing 10.02 carats, joined to the neckchain set with a series of twenty-three graduated cushion and oval-shaped rubies weighing a total of 43.74 carats, interspersed by smaller cushion-shaped rubies weighing a total of 11.19 carats, mounted in 18k yellow gold, 42.0 cm long

Accompanied by report no. 58708 dated 1 March 2011 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the forty-eight rubies weighing 64.95 carats are of Burma (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the forty-eight rubies possess extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The rubies exhibit a well-saturated and matching colour, combined with an attractive shape and cutting style. Microscopic examination revealed inclusions, which represent the hallmarks of reputed classical ruby mines from the Mogok valley in Burma (Myanmar). Assembling natural Burmese rubies of this quality and matching colour is exceptional and the described jewellery with its combination of outstanding characteristics is thus a very rare treasure

Also accompanied by report no. GRS2010-082060 dated 18 August 2010 from the Gem Research Swiss Lab stating that the forty-eight rubies weighing a total of 64.95 carats are of Burma (Myanmar) origin, vivid red colour (GRS type "pigeon's blood"), with no indication of thermal treatment
