Lot Essay

Gardens, Morning Sun and The Ducks II (lot 160) demonstrate Bramham's richly detailed urban landscapes. The intricately developed surfaces of these large-scale London garden scenes are reminiscent of Lucian Freud's paintings of a similar subject.
