Details
Château Latour--Vintage 1937
Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
VINTAGE NOTE: It was cool from May to mid-September though the grapes were harvested in good conditions. Bottled early in the war and the wines that survived were pounced upon by the wine-starved trade and largely consumed in the late 1940s.
"Pale garnet, with brick rim; perfume is fragrant, and a touch volatile; flavour intense, the fruit rather frayed." Anthony Hanson M. W., May 2003
"Most recently at Hugh Johnson's Bordeaux Club Dinner, an almost Mouton-like spiciness...fragrant and exciting" Michael Broadbent M. W., August 1999
