Lot Essay

US$200,000-300,000

With presentation case and Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming dates of manufacture and sale.

The present lot impresses by its overall very good condition. Most notably are the full proportions of its case, showing only minimal wear and hardly any signs of polishing. Consequently, the edges are very sharp, the satin-finish to the sides is attractively preserved and the gold mark underneath the lug is crisp. The attractive dial does not show signs of cosmetic retouching, furthermore enhancing the overall appearance of this stunning wristwatch.

Another striking feature of this superb watch is the sought-after pearled minute divisions found on 1st series. According to our research, less than 25 reference 3448 in white gold from the first series have appeared on the market to date, enhancing the true rarity of this piece.

The combination of the condition and rarity of the model, quintessential to the connoisseur, render the present reference 3448 the perfect addition to any important collection of rare vintage wristwatches.
