Cal. 19 nickel-finished lever movement, 29 jewels, mono-metallic balance, micrometer regulator, wolf's tooth winging, minute repeating on two gongs activated by a slide in the band, silvered matte dial, applied baton numerals, gold dauphine hands, aperture for combined month, day and date display, subsidiary dial for phases of the moon combined with constant seconds, large plain circular case, stepped bezel, snap on back, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1947 and its subsequent sale on March 14, 1977. The extract further states the movement was made in 1947 and the watch was completed and encased in 1971. Further accompanied by Original Certificate of Origin, manual and authorized retailers for Patek Philippe at the time of sale

Patek Philippe begin production of the reference 844 in 1965 and it is still listed as a special order piece.
