Lot Essay

Accompanied by copies of the Geneva Observatory testing, Kew Register of Watches Received and Dispatched, and an Abstract of the Results. Further accompanied by a copy of the League of Table of watches tested.
The cuvette inscription reads Bulletins 1re Classe aux Obervatoires de Geneve de Jeddington IIIme Prisc au Concour de l'Observatoir de Geneve confirming this inscription is specific to this watch and not just a generic statement.

It is interesting to note that the present lot, in addition to observatory testing in Geneva was sent to Teddington for Kew "A" testing. The watch was tested between 25th March and 8th May 1916, and received an "A" extra good certificate, gaining the excellent mark of 92.3, one of the highest awarded of that year.
