Shaped oblong on pad feet, fitted with silver-mounted glass bottles and candlestick, with associated pen, engraved with the Pearson crest, the bottles each engraved with initial 'C' below viscount's coronet and dated 19th July 1939, marked on base, candlestick, inside covers and on pen

The initial and coronet is that of Cowdray for Weetman John Churchill Spencer, 3rd Viscount Cowdray (1910-1995).
