CASE: the three-tier mahogany brass-bound box with maker's plaque to front mid-section above ivorine plaque with the government mark and inscribed '(N.W.) 139/C.W', brass bowl and gimbal DIAL: the 75 mm. diameter matt-silvered Roman dial with subsidiaries for state-of-wind and seconds, signed 'WALTHAM/WATCH CO./(N.W), 139', blued steel hands MOVEMENT: keyless wind three-quarter plate movement with twin going barrels, cut bimetallic balance to jewelled lever escapement
