Provenance
Mr. and Mrs. Mukerji were introduced to Jamini Roy by the famous Bengali writer Tara Shankar Banerji, a cousin of Mr. Mukerji, in 1959. At that meeting, Jamini Roy entertained them in his studio and these works (lots 6 and 92) were acquired directly from the artist on their first meeting.
