Lot Essay

David Rabinovitch's sculptures appear as zones of perception where the various aspects of the work, independent from one another, vary with the position of the viewer as he moves around the work. Rabinovitch's creative approach is original and in certain terms unique, as it asks the viewer to look at the work from several points of view, making it impossible to see the complexity of the work fully from a single position. It is as if the world was founded on a succession of unique aspects that while related, are irreconcilable (David Rabinovitch Biography, Atelier Calder Artist Residency, https://www.atelier-calder.com/davidrabinovitch_GB.html?lesartistes=davi drabinovitch_GB.html, 1994.)
