Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch silvered dial and raised gold hour markers in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 5 November 1938.

Reference 671 was launched in the mid-1930s and is very similar to references 651 and 652. The present watch is however the only example of a reference 671 to appear at auction to date, the rarity enhanced by the unusual roulette-style dial never seen on any of its peer models, and the retailer's signature Freccero.
