With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1989 and its subsequent sale on 3 January 1991. Furthermore delivered with a Patek Philippe original fitted slip case and a service report dated 24 March 2011.

Reference 3878, Patek Philippe's only automatic skeletonized wristwatch, was in production from 1981 until approximately 2007 when it was replaced by reference 5180.
