Lot Essay

US$96,000-150,000

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with pave diamond dial and 3/4 sapphire indexes, total of 1220 diamonds of approx. 7.07 ct, in 1987 and its subsequent sale on 13 May 1987.

Reference 3800, the standard Nautilus model without diamonds, was in production from 1981 until 2006 and was available in different versions as to case material and dial layout.
The highly jewelled examples were made in very limited quantities or as unique pieces to special order, most probably such as the present watch.

According to our research, only 1 other example is known from the market with similar configurations, enhancing the extreme rarity of this stunning piece.
