Lot Essay

In the accompanying letter the owner explains how the shirt was given by Brian Jones to his friend and associate Tony Sanchez, who in turn gave it to the vendor as a gift for co-writing his biography in 1977. Deborah & Clare were shirtmakers based in Beauchamp Place, London SW3 from 1965-1975.
