Set with a rectangular-cut emerald, weighing 22.58 carats, to the twin baguette-cut diamond shoulders, circa 1925, size 6, with French assay mark for platinum
With maker's mark of Henri Picq
Accompanied by report no. 58622 dated 1 March 2011 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with indications of minor clarity modification (oil)

Lot Essay

The maker's mark of the workshop Henri Picq (the letters H and P flanking an ace of spade, in an horizontal lozenge) is often seen on pieces signed by Cartier. Actually, it was one of the favourite workshops of the jewellery house at the beginning of the 20th Century.
