Accompanied by report no. 58689 dated 17 March 2011 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the 14.65 carat padparadscha sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural padparadscha possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The padparadscha exhibits a subtle orange pink colour, characteristic for this variety of corundum, combined with a fine purity and an attractive shape and cutting style. Microscopic examination revealed few inclusions, which represent the hallmarks of the reputed classical source of padparadscha in Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
