POSSIBLY LATE 18TH CENTURY
Circular, the centre intricately carved in relief with a profile of Empress Catherine II as Minerva, in plumed and laurel wreathed helmet, flowing hair, scalework breast-plate and sash, amidst pierced and carved foliate scrolls, mounted on velvet in a circular wood frame, apparently unsigned
